Adventures in Switzerland

Experience the linguistic crossroads of Switzerland, nestled between France, Germany, Austria, and Italy.  Home to both cheese and chocolate, big cities and rural mountain villages, techie gadgets and free-range cows, you’ll “visit” multiple countries without crossing borders. As a traveler, you’ll have a chance to practice your French or German language skills and immerse yourself in an amazing culture—all while building life-long friendships and soaking in the beautiful countryside.

Day 1

Bienvenue en Suisse! Start your adventure in French Switzerland along Lake Geneva, affectionately known as the Swiss Riviera. Take in the beautiful sights by boat ride.

Day 2

Spend the morning among the locals enjoying the beach, pools, and cultural offerings of the Bains de Paquis. Venture into the world of Swiss chocolate on a chocolate tour.

Day 3

Start your day with a City Tour, including the Palace of Nations, the second largest UN headquarters outside of NYC, before leaving city life behind. Head into the countryside to explore the charming town of Gruyere – famous for its delicious cheese and castle. Climb the castle ramparts and enjoy sweeping views of the countryside.

Continue onto the Swiss Capital of Bern. Explore the Medieval Old Town, dating back to 1191. Quench your thirst at any of the 11 colorful Renaissance fountains from the 16th century.

Day 4

Enjoy the views of the Swiss Alps as you train to Interlaken, nestled between Lake Brienz, Lake Thun, and the Berner Oberland. Breathe in the jaw-dropping scenery as you explore the sights on foot.

Day 5

Listen for cow bells, rushing waterfalls, and bleating mountain goats on this outdoor day. Practice yodeling from the mountain tops. End the day paddleboarding your way around the lake.

Day 6

Say, “guten Morgen” to German Switzerland in Zurich, through you will hear countless other languages in this cultural hub. Wave at the zäf-tig blue guardian angel as you exit the train station. Float down the Limmat River, right through the heart of the city, to get acquainted.

Day 7

Explore the heart of Zurich by bike, devouring Lindt chocolate as you go. Take in the entire city from the top of the giant ferris wheel at Bürkliplatz.
