Emergency

What happens if there is a medical emergency?

Parents will be notified immediately of any emergency and will have the final say in how an emergency situation is handled. If a parent cannot be reached, intoMOTION Travel Staff will use their best judgment to manage the emergency. Travel insurance includes medical coverage and medivac services in the case of a medical emergency.

For Parents

How do I keep in touch with my student while they are on the trip?

Most cell phone carriers offer a reasonably priced texting plan for overseas travel, and a higher-priced plan that will allow you to make international calls. There are also free services such as Skype, Zoom, and WhatsApp that can be used wherever there is Wi-Fi. FaceTime (for iPhone users) will allow you regular access to your teen. The lead guide will have a working phone with them at all times in case of an emergency.

Safety

Will students ever be unsupervised?

Our great student-to-chaperone ratio of 6:1 ensures that students are accounted for at all times; students are not permitted to wander off without an adult.

Will students be permitted to drink alcohol?

No. Although the drinking age is younger than in the U.S., there will be no drinking allowed on any student trip. All trip participants will be required to sign a Code of Conduct form before departure which stipulates that no drinking is allowed during the trip.
