British Isles College Tour


Ever considered studying abroad during college? Not just a month, or a year, but for your entire college career?

Our adventure takes you on a guided tour of some of the most influential and prestigious universities in England, Scotland, and the Republic of Ireland. Over the course of 10 days, you'll have a chance to experience campus life in other countries, see the sights of some of the world's great cities, and create lifelong memories.

Here's what you can expect:

Day 1

Arrive in Dublin, Ireland and ward off jet lag by visiting the Dublin Castle. Check in at your lodgings before heading out for a Welcome Dinner in the fashionable Temple Bar district.

Day 2

Explore Trinity College and discover the 1200-year-old manuscript of the biblical gospels—the Book of Kells. Then embark on a thrilling adventure through the main sights of Dublin by land and water!

Day 3

Fly to London for the second leg of your journey. Spend three hours sight-seeing on a bike tour of London’s pristine parks. After dinner, view the city lights from hundreds of feet in the air aboard the majestic London Eye.

Day 4

Visit colleges within the University of London system. Continue discovering the city with a walk across the Tower Bridge and a tour of the mesmerizing St. Paul’s cathedral. Step back in time as you take in an evening play at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre.

Day 5

Board a train to Oxford and tour some of the Isles’ most famed colleges before hitting up C.S. Lewis & J.R.R. Tolkien’s favorite pub, The Eagle and Child. Then, if you dare, head out on Bill Spectre’s spooky Oxford Ghost Trail!

Day 6

Tour the gothic halls of Westminster Abbey—where Prince William and Princess Kate were married—before watching the changing of the guard in front of Buckingham Palace. Spend the evening in the posh West End.

Day 7

Arrive in Cambridge by train and spend the morning punting along the River Cam where you will take in fantastic views along “The Backs.” Don’t worry, you’ll spend the afternoon in front and inside the colleges, too!

Day 8

Fly to magical Edinburgh, Scotland for the final leg of your trip. Enjoy the day walking the Royal Mile and tasting the local fare. Climb the Scott Monument and explore a castle straight out of a fairytale.

Day 9

Spend a day in the coastal town of St. Andrews, recognized as the birthplace of golf. Celebrate the sport by playing 18 holes on the practice green, playfully referred to as “The Himalayas.” Relax at the beach and stroll through town before touring the University.

Day 10

Experience all the University of Edinburgh has to offer. Lounge in the Princes Street Gardens, and complete your tourist checklist with some last-minute shopping in New Town. Finally, commemorate the end of an amazing trip with a hike to Arthur’s Seat—an ancient volcano sitting 251 meters above sea level.

 

Total Cost:  $4900

Trip price includes roundtrip transatlantic flight, all meals, travel within and between countries, lodging, excursions, and travel insurance. Basically, it’s all inclusive—there are NO hidden fees!
