Ireland Couples’ Golf Tour
This trip is specially designed for couples want to play golf together and explore the ins and outs of two incredible cities—Dublin and Belfast. We’ll play some world-class championship golf while taking in the sites and local flavors of both cities. Limited to 6 couples, this intimate trip promises to foster friendships and lifelong memories.
Day 1
Arrive in Dublin, Ireland and take a short drive to the Grand Hotel in the town of Malahide. Take an evening stroll along the Irish Sea harbor and beach, play cards or slots at the nearby Westbury casino or sharpen your game at Malehide Castle Pitch and Putt. End the evening with live music in a local pub.
Day 2
After a hearty breakfast, head out to play one of the three Portmarnock golf courses, the Portmarnock Links Course, designed by Bernhard Langer. After the round, enjoy an afternoon drink in the clubhouse overlooking the Irish Sea. Close the day out with a nice dinner at one of the local restaurants.
Day 3
After breakfast at the hotel, head down the road to play the Portmarnock Championship Course (host to 15 Irish Opens). After golfing, explore and marvel at the 800 year-old Malahide Castle and Garden. Finally, enjoy a relaxing dinner at the hotel or take a DART train into Dublin city center for a night on the town!
Day 4
Breakfast at the hotel before heading to play the newest course in the area, The Island. (There are two other neighboring courses—Donabate and Balcarrick—for those who want a 36-hole day.) Enjoy a light dinner on the go before relishing a live professional soccer, cricket, or rugby match.
Day 5
Take a break from golf to explore the city of Dublin. Choose between a walking tour, a bike tour, or a Hop-on-Hop Off bus tour to see these highlights and more: the Guinness Storehouse, Teeling Distillery, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Dublin Castle, Irish Whiskey Museum, Molly Malone Statue, Trinity College, and the Little Museum of Dublin. Stay with the group or explore on your own. Commemorate our last night in Dublin by singing songs at the famous pub, The Temple Bar.
Day 6
After breakfast, leave Malahide and head to Northern Ireland. Along the way, stop to play 18 holes at Royal County Down (Annesley Links), the sister course of one of the greatest courses in the world. Then, explore the Downpatrick region, where patron Saint Patrick is said to be buried, and see Castle Ward and Winterfell castle (from Game of Thrones!). Finally, reach Bangor and land at Shelleven House.
Day 7
Enjoy a relaxed breakfast at Shellevan house and play a late morning round at the local favorite course, Scrabo Golf Club. Enjoy an early dinner at the condo and take in a show at Waterfront Hall.
Day 8
Start the day in Belfast, visiting the Titanic Belfast museum, enjoying a short sightseeing tour of the city, and eating lunch. For the afternoon, head to Royal Belfast Golf Club for a round. Then, dine at one of the local restaurants.
Day 9
Enjoy a day of adventure! After breakfast at the hotel, ride the train back to Belfast and begin a full-day guided tour of Game of Thrones locations with Giants Causeway and the famous rope bridge! End the day with a feast in Belfast.
Day 10
Fuel up with breakfast at Shelleven House before your final round of golf and afternoon of spirits. Play at Ardglass golf club in the morning and then sip and tour at the Shortcross Whiskey and Gin Distillery. Share a final dinner to relive the great stories of the trip.
Day 11
Bid farewell to Ireland and head home while reflecting on all of your wonderful memories.
